Malacca Expatriate School
The Malacca Expatriate School (MES) is a fully registered, international school in Melaka. Established in 1980, MES provides a British, co-educational, International Curriculum to the expatriate and local community in Melaka..
The academic year runs from the beginning of September until the end of July. MES is a Cambridge International Examinations Centre and follows the Cambridge curriculum at both primary and secondary level. Each student's performance is assessed by end of term tests internally and by Cambridge Checkpoint Assessment at the end of Year 6 and the end of Year 9 as external assessment. In Year 10, students begin a two year course of study leading to International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE) assessment at the end of Year 11.
